RaySpace is a completely new acoustic simulator. This unique
reverb introduces the new DBT engine that creates fantastic
surround sound atmospheres. The characteristics of the room
shape, height, positions and materials can all be adjusted in
real time. Combined with the 3D view and the parametric
equaliser, the user is given the complete audio and visual
feedback of room designs! With full automation, source and
listener positions can be walked though the rooms, ideal for
patching dialogue in radio plays or films. From concert halls
to bathrooms, cathedrals to sewers, you can play and sing
anywhere you desire!

How does it work?

DBT (Diffuse Bubble Tracing) is a highly efficient algorithm
that analyses the entire room in a fraction of a second. It
traces bubbles of sound bouncing off the walls until they
hit the listener. The angle they hit determines the pan and
surround position they play from. With hundreds of these fuzzy
sound bubbles the listener is immersed in an incredibly rich
and smooth environment.

Shall we play?

With the ability to draw any shape room you like, there are
millions of different reverbs to be made! Have the sound
playing as you draw, and listen to the room taking shape.
Change the wall absorbency and scattering to simulate
different materials from highly dampened and rough, to very
bright and shiny. Use the 3D view to spin and pan around your
room, adjusting the height as you go. The four band parametric
EQ can alter the retued sound immensely, creating just the
right tone for your track.
All good fun, with a serious result, with a great sound and a
decent price.

Why choose RaySpace over other reverbs?

1. Simply the sound. Most reverbs, have a distinct greyness
to them, some even a ringy tone. RaySpace is smooth and
rich, with a massively layered sound.
2. Instantly captures objects and movements in the rooms. No
other reverb does this without cheating with crossfades.
2. Incredibly flexible and with visual feedback. You can
actually see the rooms, not banks of graphs and meaningless
numbers found on other reverbs.
3. Low on CPU usage, even on long reverbs, unlike convolution
techniques.
4. Accurate surround sound responses with no need for tidying
up.
5. Cheap! For all these features, and fantastic sound quality
only $90.

General features:

Create fantastic surround reverbs using the completely
unique engine Introducing the new DBT (Diffuse Bubble
Tracing) system.
Draw walls of any angle, allowing complex room shapes.
Four band parametric equaliser, for complete control of
output!
Ray scattering algorithms for adding randomisation to wall
reflections, giving roughness and character to the rooms.
Get a real grasp of the virtual space with the 3D ROOM
VIEWER. Using zoom and spin with the mouse watch and
listen to actual height adjustments.
Reverb updates almost instantly!
ZERO latency.
RaySpace does NOT use convolution algorithms, its a
completely original design. And unlike convolution, long
reverb times use the same CPU as short ones, allowing you to
make huge spaces!
Compact size. RaySpace does not need huge resource files to
store the reverbs, as they only take up a few kilobytes
each!
45 presets for instant tweaking.
Works with all sample rates.

2.2.2 dated 3rd March 06 Minor fix.
Hang issues with middle and right mouse buttons resolved.

2.2.1 dated 27th Feb 06 Minor compatibility fix.
Patches from RaySpace 2.0 and 2.1 now working and
upgraded.

2.2 dated 26th Feb 06 NEW interface update.
A new EQ display that can also be directly adjusted on the
graph
much easier editing.
Vertex editing of walls, for quick adjustments.
Mirror mode for creating symmetric rooms quickly.
Undo now works on whole edits at a time.

2.1.1 dated 21st Feb 06
Lost reflections where still heard in nearly cut off areas,
especially noticable in automated movements.
