Scorpion 3 is a virtual analog VSTi synthesizer of the finestquality, its sound is closely resemblant to that of vintageanalog gear. The circuitry, however, is original, and is not anattempt to emulate any particular real world analog synthesizer.Unlike most other virtual analog synthesizers, the Scorpion doesnot attempt to recreate any particular real world analogsynthesizer, but contains original circuitry. The Scorpion findsits use in all genres of electronic music, and is capable of awide variety of sounds. It has two sawtooth oscillators, whichmay seem simple but as you will hear, the clever coupling withvariable phase and ring modulation, makes it capable of manyexciting sounds. The array of possible sounds is furtherenhanced by a multimode filter with 4 modes, two ADSR envelopesfor the filter and amplitude, and an LFO with two switchabledestinations. Additionally, an AD modulation envelope is builtin, with variable send amounts for ringmodulation and pitch. TheScorpion has three effect sections built in: Reverb, Spectral FXand Chorus. The Reverb is a very smooth sounding, physical modelling plate reverb, with variable pre delay and damping. TheSpectral FX unit, is a special effect for spectral enhancement,which can be used both for pumping up the bass, adding presenceto the midrange, or brilliance to the highrange. The Scorpioncomes with a bank of 100 presets.

ASIO FX Processor is a VST 2.0 and ASIO 2.0 host combined in a standalone application that works as a real time multi effects processor and can be used for playing live VST instruments such as Steinberg Halion, Native Instruments Pro 51, Waldorf PPG Wave and many more.

This means that you can plug an audio source, like a guitar, microphone, exteal synth out for example, into input of your audio card that supports ASIO 2.0, run the ASIO FX Processor, select the input you would like to take the sound from and output for monitoring, load VST plugins you want to process the sound in real time and start the streaming. The application will take the sound from cards input, pass it through the loaded VST plugin and output it back to audio card output for monitoring.

Besides working as a real time effects processor the application includes supports of VST instruments, so you can also load one VST instrument and play it live with any MIDI source like keyboard or from your sequencer through a midi loopback driver. The delay between audio or midi input and audio output will be very low, just unrecognizable for most of pro audiocards available on the market. The audio output of VST instrument can be further processed with plugins loaded into the rest three slots.
