The new customizable transaction breakdown feature elevates
performance analysis to a higher view of an application. This feature

response time for a transaction.

New features and enhancements

The addition of the new transaction breakdown feature brings
performance analysis to a higher level. It identifies systematic
performance problems in the different modules of your application.
These problems cant be uncovered by simply looking at the slowest
lines of code. For each transaction, the time spent in Servlet/JSP,
EJB, JDBC and JMS will be provided. Its also possible to define
custom categories and find out how each module of an application
contributes to the response time.

Object retention analysis will make memory leak analysis become a
repeatable process. DevPartners unique technology allows developers
to uncover those objects that stay in memory for a long time without
being used. The analysis is entirely automated and reduces the false
positive to a minimum. This feature tracks down small leaks during
development, which often times become serious at deployment and can
bring an entire application down.

The new session comparison functionality allows developers to compare
two different DevPartner Java sessions to measure the impact of a code
change on performance and code coverage analysis.

DevPartner Java Edition 3.3 will enhance unit testing by providing a
consolidated view that combines code coverage and JUnit test results.
