CFX BladeGen is an interactive turbomachinery blade design tool, incorporating our extensive turbomachinery design and analysis expertiseinto a user friendly graphical environment. It enables efficient transition from preliminary design to CFD analysis and CAD design inminutes.
Increased curve control including tangential control in the meridional curvature window has made design easier. Continuity and quality of thehub and shroud curves can be examined and curves created in two or more segments. The blade lean and rake can now be viewed, as well. Axial turbine designers can create better transonic blading with independent suction and pressure curves.
Blade design with independent pressure and suction curves is used by most turbine designers. With this methodology, pump designers are now able to add treatments to the trailing edge.
Fan and compressor designers can design blades using universal profile thickness distributions, such as NACA or C4/C7. A NACA profile generator is also available.
